Our off-the-shelf teambuilding
programs are designed to be useful in hospitals, banks, universities,
elementary schools, manufacturing companies, small and large businesses,
consulting firms, public agencies, boards-of-directors, real estate offices ... anywhere
where people work together to get results.
Step-by-step instructions allow training staff, managers or team leaders
to be facilitators. All the concepts used in these teambuilding
sessions are defined in background materials and handouts. A manager
or team leader can easily facilitate a module if (s)he is comfortable
presenting new concepts and facilitating small group discussions and short
participatory activities.
The modules are designed to be completed in 1 1/2 to 2 hour
sessions, depending on the size of the group. Six to eight or ten
participants is ideal.

Strong Team Communication

- Giving Feedback...It's Not So Difficult --$99
Studies have found
that one of a manager’s most difficult tasks is to provide constructive
feedback to workers. It is no less difficult for team members to give
feedback to other members of the team. But feedback is essential to
optimal performance. Everyone needs to be have strengths and weaknesses
acknowledged in order to improve her/his performance.
2- Listening...It's Not So Easy
- $99
Listening to signals
in our environment is as natural as breathing. Because it is such a
fundamental part of a person’s life, we can easily confuse hearing with
listening. The two are not the same and this confusion – this assumption
that if we can hear, we are listening—can be the source of
misunderstanding and disappointment in our relationships on and off the
job.
Establishing Missions and Goals
-includes 4 modules
1- Establishing The
Organization's Mission - $99
"An organization is not an
organization and a team is not a team unless they
know why they are an
organization/team. Teams are* "small groups of people with
complementary skills committed to a common purpose, approach, and
performance goals for which they hold themselves mutually accountable".
(*Jon Katzenbach)
2- Establishing the Team's Mission -$99
Using the organization's mission as a
starting point, teams establish their mission in support of the
organization's
3- Setting Team Goals -
$99
Using the team's mission as a starting
point, the team creates goals to support this mission.
4-
Setting Individual
Goals -$99
Most of us have a
natural inclination to develop our self-esteem and capability through
mastering new accomplishments. Most of us want to make a difference in the
world and in our work. We want to live life fully and with meaning. We
want to achieve and we want to contribute. Setting individual goals that
support team goals is way to
encourage and support these natural tendencies.
Clarifying
Team Roles -
2modules
Why
Roles
Are Important...
One of the dimensions of a
high performance team is that everyone understands the role he/she plays
on the team and what is expected of them. Problems occur when these
expectations are not clear and people don’t know what’s expected of them
personally or what to expect from others in completing their tasks.
There are three kinds of roles played
on every team: task roles, relationship or process roles. Task roles
are more likely to be assigned roles and process roles are more likely
to be based on individual personality. Task roles influence what gets
done; process roles influence how things get done in terms of
interpersonal styles.
The most effective teams are those that perform well in their task and
process roles!
1-
The "Black Box"...Task Roles -$99
Are the task roles clear in your
team? Does everyone know who they supply and who supplies them with
what? Using a TQM model, we help the team understand the diversity of
contributions and requirements in all the team functions.
2- Too
Many Cooks... Process Roles - $99
A variety of "process roles"
are necessary in order for work to progress. This exercise looks at what
happens if the roles don't get played or if too many people play the
same roles.
